  • Announcing the 2012 Season

    It's finally here! We are so excited to announce our lineup of events for 2012.

    Once again, the retreats will be held at the gorgeous Boathouse on the Bay in Georgian Bay which is a wonderful space for nuturing your mind and body. Each retreat will focus on clean eating and provide meals and information for those living with specialty diets and digestive ailments.

     

    May 25 - 27 - Nurture and Nourish Retreat for Mothers and Daughters and close friends, including organic spa treatments and a workshop on making your own home-made beauty products.

     

    June 22 - 24 - Summer Solstice Retreat including a transitional seasonal diet and cooking seminar.

     

    July 27- 29 - Summer Leisure Retreat including a workshop on Meditation and Pranayama (Yogic breathing)

     

    September 20 - 25 - Autumn Solstice Detox Retreat gently detox the body with nourishing food and gentle yoga practice. Five days of rejuvenating the body from the inside out.

     

    All of the retreats include: 2 nights accommodation, yoga classes, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, cedar lined fire burning sauna and home-made, organic, gluten free, vegetarian meals.

  • Yoga for Digestion - A Yoga workshop for those with food sensitivities

    Many of us are silently struggling with a weak digestive system. We may have even been told we have a gluten allergy, diagnosed celiac or perhaps been told we have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. In this two part workshop we will learn how the digestive system works and how to cope with and relieve the pain it may be causing us. Hear from others that are experiencing similar symptoms, begin communication with your body through a specifically designed yoga practice and leave with a long term plan on how to regain and maintain wellness within your body .

    On Day One you will be introduced to a series of yoga postures that will aid digestion as well as create a strong body and mind.

    Find out how emotional and mental well being aid in healing the digestive system. Learn the basics of the auto immune system and how it effects our digestion. Practice techniques that will lower your stress level, create a still mind and enable you to create healthy digestion.

    On Day Two we will delve deeper into the digestive system and discover a new relationship with food. Learn a 30 minute yoga practice that you can do at home, that will improve digestion as well as increase overall well-being. Discover alternative grains and their wellness benefits and learn how to build a specialty diet meal plan.
